Check Your MEPCO Load Shedding Schedule
Outage timings are feeder-specific, not city-wide — search by your reference number, or by city, grid and feeder, to see the exact schedule for your connection.
Find this on any previous MEPCO bill, top-left corner.
Less precise than your reference number — feeders can share area names.
Two streets, two very different schedules
MEPCO's load shedding is organized by feeder — the specific line serving your neighborhood — not by city or town.
Feeder-based, not area-based
Your neighbourhood is served by one specific feeder line. Nearby streets on a different feeder can have a completely different schedule.
Loss & recovery based categorization
Feeders with higher line losses or lower bill payment recovery are typically scheduled for longer outage windows under NEPRA's differential policy.
Schedules shift with demand
Timings are reviewed and can change based on seasonal demand, maintenance work, and generation availability.
Illustrative categories — your feeder's actual classification and hours are shown on the official CCMS Feeder Details page.
Scheduled outage or a fault?
Not every power cut is load shedding — knowing which one you're facing determines what to do next.
✓ Scheduled Load Shedding
- Happens at the times shown on your feeder's published schedule.
- Affects your whole feeder, not just your house.
- No action needed — power resumes automatically at the scheduled time.
⚠ Unscheduled Outage / Fault
- Happens outside the published schedule, often just your street or house.
- Could be a tripped breaker, damaged line, or transformer fault.
- Should be reported so it's treated as a fault, not assumed as scheduled.
Load shedding questions, answered
Enter your 14-digit reference number, or search by city, grid, or feeder, on the official CCMS Feeder Details portal. The schedule shown is specific to the feeder that serves your connection, not your entire city.
MEPCO's load shedding schedule is feeder-based, not area-based. Two streets close to each other can be served by different feeders, each with its own loss percentage, recovery rate, and outage timetable.
Under NEPRA's differential load shedding policy, feeders with higher line losses or lower bill recovery rates are typically scheduled for longer outage windows than well-performing feeders.
An outage outside the published schedule is usually a fault rather than planned load shedding. Report it through the complaint helpline so it's treated as a supply fault rather than assumed to be scheduled.
Some subdivision offices offer SMS registration for billing and outage updates. Availability varies by area — check with your local MEPCO sub-division office to register your mobile number.
Don't trust forwarded WhatsApp schedules. Unofficial schedules circulating in local groups are frequently outdated or simply wrong. Always confirm against the official CCMS Feeder Details page for your reference number.
